About Us
Frontier Harvest Ministries is a nonprofit missions organization committed to taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to some of the most unreached and unengaged people groups across Asia. As a Great Commission ministry, our heart is to reach those who have never heard the name of Jesus and advance frontier missions into spiritually untouched regions.

Founded by Chuck and Wendy Lenhart in the late 1980s, the ministry began with a simple yet powerful vision: to plant churches where Christ had not been named and to raise up local believers who could disciple their own people. What started as a humble step of faith has grown into a multi-generational movement reaching remote villages, ethnic minorities, and unreached communities throughout East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the surrounding regions.

In 1993, Chuck and Wendy moved to Southwest China, where they formally established Frontier Harvest Ministries to reach the unreached, equip the saints, and develop indigenous leaders. Under their leadership, more than 500 churches were planted, over 50,000 believers were baptized, and disciples were made among more than 70 distinct ethnic groups — a testament to effective church planting, discipleship training, and apostolic missions.

Today, FHM’s expanding network reaches across East Asia, Southeast Asia, the Himalayan regions, and Central Asia — actively ministering among just over 100 people groups. We continue the mission through pioneering church planting, ongoing discipleship training, leadership development, mentoring indigenous leaders, sending workers into unreached communities, and bridging American churches to some of the most remote areas of Asia.

Through this combined work of embracing the lost, equipping believers, and sending laborers, Frontier Harvest Ministries stands as a living testimony to God’s faithfulness and the enduring power of the Great Commission.
