Frontier Harvest Ministries is a nonprofit missions organization dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission by bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to some of the most unreached and unengaged people groups across Asia. Our mission is to plant churches where Christ has not yet been named, disciple believers, and equip indigenous leaders to reach their own communities with the hope of the Gospel.

Founded by Chuck and Wendy Lenhart in the late 1980s, the ministry was formally established in Southwest China in 1993 after God called them to serve among remote ethnic minorities. What began as a single step of faith has grown into a multi-generational movement of church planting, discipleship, leadership development, and pioneer missions throughout East Asia, Southeast Asia, the Himalayan regions, and Central Asia.

Over the past 38 years, God has enabled Frontier Harvest Ministries to plant more than 500 churches, baptize over 50,000 believers, and establish thriving disciple-making movements among 56 distinct people groups. Today, many of these churches are led by indigenous believers who continue advancing the Gospel within their own communities, allowing the ministry to expand into new frontiers.

Building upon this foundation, Frontier Harvest Ministries is now actively working among 220 people groups across Asia. In addition to the 56 established networks, our teams are pioneering outreach among 165 additional unreached and unengaged people groups. Through these initiatives, we are entering remote villages, developing new friendships, identifying Homes of Peace, discipling new believers, and laying the foundation for future church planting movements where little or no Gospel witness currently exists.

Everything we do is built upon three simple commitments: Embrace. Equip. Emit. We embrace people where they are, equip believers to become mature disciples and leaders, and send workers to pioneer new Gospel work among the unreached.

As God continues to open new doors, Frontier Harvest Ministries remains committed to advancing His Kingdom by raising up indigenous leaders, planting churches, and bringing the hope of Jesus Christ to the last remaining unreached peoples—until every nation, tribe, and language has the opportunity to hear the Gospel.
